Washington United Church of Christ

Our Vision

is a partnership with Camp Washington (a neighborhood in Cincinnati, ohio) to create a community that is safe and clean, where people have enough food, decent housing, opportunities for education and work, and live in an environment that nurtures all families.

Our Mission

is to do what Jesus taught…

to minister together with our neighbors in ways that improve lives physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Open and Affirming Statement

As a faith community created in God’s image, we are called to love our neighbors as Jesus loved us. We seek to unite persons of all ages, family makeup, races, ethnicities, sexual orientation and gender expression, mental and physical abiities, economic status, and theological background.

Everyone is welcome into all aspects of church life as we celebrate the image of God in every person.

No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.

More Than Fifty Years Focusing on Camp

In 1970, WUCC—on the verge of closing down—made a commitment to Camp Washington. As we celebrate 50 years of vibrant, impactful, dedicated ministries, we face the difficult questions regarding how we can go another fifty. Come and see what God has in store!

In 1970, we made a commitment to the Camp Washington neighborhood. Fifty years later we need an equally prophetic commitment to go another fifty.

Want to be part of a community that sows good in the community?

We are a congregation of around twenty people, but we do the work of a megachurch. to keep this going, we need time, talent, and treasure. is god calling you to play a role? why not talk to Pastor Melissa and see if the spirit is moving you to join us?
